AED's
An AED, is an Automated External Defibrillator, is a portable medical device that analyses a person's heart rhythm and delivers an electric shock (defibrillation) to the chest if it detects an abnormal rhythm, essentially restarting the heart and potentially saving a life during a sudden cardiac arrest; it is designed to be user-friendly with clear instructions to guide the operator in an emergency situation.
Having quick access to an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is important as it can significantly increase a person's chance of survival during a sudden cardiac arrest by delivering an electric shock to restore a normal heart rhythm, especially when used within the first few minutes of the event. An AED can be a life-saving tool for anyone experiencing a cardiac arrest.
There is an AED available for use in a cardiac emergency at the All Fired Up head office 8 Barralong Rd Erina.
